LO4: Evidence of Editing

 Louis Norton and Alister Martin editing the first draft of the trailer, this included them importing the footage we had filmed, we started by looking and following our storyboard. We also imported Alister Martin's own music and synced the shots up to the music, this was seen in many of the trailers we had analysed and so must be a common convention. Some tools we used were;

The razor tool, this let us cut up the footage to fit the times we had set for each shot and to help it sync to the music and it was also used to cut up audio.

This is an effect we used for a quite a few shots, especially at the start when the song was at a slower pace, and so we used this for a kind of dramatic effect.

This is me editing the 'Silent Captive' title for the film, it was animated in Adobe After Effects with Assets from Video Copilot (http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/translucent_glass/).

For our film trailer Alister Martin is composing his own music that we will use. He is composing two main tunes, the first of which is a more calm kind of thing to start it of. When Oscar gets into the forest the next tune will start which is a faster and creepier one. This is to symbolise the confusion in his head. This is a screenshot of Alister composing the second tune.

This is his music;

Here is evidence of me creating and editing the animated production logo in After Effects;

 This is evidence of Louis Norton editing the voice to be in sync with the footage as the shots actual sound was drowned out by cars, wind and people around us at the time of recording;
